Yeah, I admire the FX Smith and Topper situation quite a bit. That's very exciting about the possible fresh wrapper acquisition! I hope it happens.
Guess who rolls Topper's gars?
That's right.

How many have tried Bobalu cigars? Hand rolled in Texas I'm guessing by Texicans. They sell some tasty gars as well.

Starbucks coffee is a classic example... they were about to go bankrupt and they lowered prices to the bare bone and then the new CEO changed the names of the coffees to sound more 'high end' and tripled the prices. The employees thought he was nuts but he knew the secret of how to change the perception in the consumers mind. Huge success. Goes to show how easy it is to dupe the public.

I'm off now to get an..."Oprah Cinnamon Chai Crème Frappuccino Blended Crème" or maybe just a simple "Horchata-inspired, Cinnamon Almondmilk Macchiato" I just can't decide...oh my!
Speaking of duping the public, given your final statement, it surprises me that people still think of Starbucks as a coffee shop. Their primary product are those "milkshakes" (ice and milk and flavor powder and syrups). They buy and sell more milk than anyone else in the world, or so I'm told.

Imo the tobaccos and wrapper give flavor to a cigar packaging and lableing give the cigar a personality. It give the cigars maker a chance to tell what that cigar means to him or what he wants that cigar to mean to us as consumers. If you can make me want to smoke that cigar by looking at it, then boy you got a customer

All very true -- but is it worth ten bucks out of a twelve buck cigar?
One reason we are all rolling on this section of the forum.

Have always tried to make bands that would work convincingly with the laser printer technology. That eliminated the gold embossing.
My favorite and most simplistic was the Liga Privada by Drew Estate. The simple hand made appearance has a certain appeal andd follows the theme of 'hand made'. I use the straight cut strips (no fancy shapes) and put the blend information hand written using a similar background design.

A cigar is worth whatever consumers are willing to pay for it :)
Yet I am willing to bet that 111% of those who regularly drag out that tired old platitude each and every time they note that an internet discussion has inadvertently touched upon monetary worth will also shake their heads when they see some fool part with ten bucks for canned smog or a pet rock.

ICYMI there is such a thing as intrinsic value, IMHO, YMMV, FWIW, & SCNR.
