Pipe Newbie Here - Just placed an order for my first corncob pipe....a Washington Corn Cob Pipe, 5th Ave Bowl Shape & Straight Bit from the Missouri Meerschaum Company. I have been toying with the idea of learning to enjoy Pipe Smoking and figured now is the time. Would love to learn from the brotherhood.

Haven't seen anything yet. Do you have a tracking number
I apologize brothers, I have to back out of this. I appreciate the opportunity, but work is keeping me from getting anything done here.
I'll shoot Dismal a care package as a thanks for picking me up when I get the opportunity.

Hearth & Home classic burley kake and a blend called 'candy corn' from online that came with a pipe. It all arrives friday, so I'll keep you updated.
Throw away the cob that came with the Candy Corn...if it's anything like the one I received with my order of Russ' monthly blend last year... very cheap Chinese knockoff of a Missouri Meerschaum corn cob pipe.

Hope it's ok that I post this here. Figured it would be better than starting yet another thread.
Over the past several days, I've seen mentioned numerous times to store baggied samples separately. The wife picked me up several ball jars (green?) today so I could seperate the stash @thedismaltrade so generously sent me. Only problem is, I don't know which tobaccos to store together. Here is a pic of the stuff dismal sent. Please advise this noob.

When you say "like tobaccos", are you saying pair blend types together, or blends that use the same tobacco contents together?
You can really dive deep as to what type of blend a tobacco is but generally you have:

English (Latakia)
Virginia
Burley
Aromatics

For the most part I have found that Aromatics and Latakia blends will taint other tobaccos the most.

Perique and Orientals tend to be condiment tobaccos and will be found in any of the above categories, but I think you would be safe splitting them up into those four.

Good deal. Thank you. I feel confident I have my samples separated accordingly.

Oh so you'll be needing pipe tobacco in your next bomb. *scribble scribble*
