I agree 100%, but it's also a world wide cigar forum with "good people" in it! Everyone here deserves KUDOS in making this one of the best forums on the net!

You know Jay, the atmosphere around here (people being cordial and civil, as opposed to people tearing each other up) is the whole reason I post on BOTL exclusively.

Seems every other forum I've looked at, people are at each other's throats! Guess that's easy when you're sitting by yourself behind a computer screen...because when you meet people in-person at a herf, they don't act like the same "Internet Jackass" that they portray on the forums.

This place has ALWAYS felt natural and authentic to me, like people really act in-person.














Although I admit, I do occasionally have bad days and act like an "Internet Jackass" myself.

I think the word has gotten out to the dipshits that they will not be tolerated here and have basically stopped trying to infiltrate. We occasionally get one that tries to slip through but they get taken care of pretty quickly.

I get a kick outta reading other forums that cut us down for being so "soft" and actually take it as a compliment.

The difference here is we don't put up with foul play but don't call out a lynch mod (unlike other forums) until the foul play has been proven.

I’m a newb around here and have read/studied or been to a couple cigar forums and agree with the comments of this thread wholeheartedly. It’s nice to see people exchange ideas and information without the “bashing or flaming” that can and does take place at other unnamed cigar forums. The Ladies & Gentlemen of this forum should be proud of the environment they have fostered here.

I have to say Jay that I am a little bit turned off from that "other" board right now, speicifically, with the beef that has most recently arisen. I aplaud you for squashining it. And so as of recently I have been finding myself being pulled in the direction of BOTL rather than that "other" board. Not that I don't love that other place, but the vibe here is noticably different, and in a good way. This is the most mellow board I have ever experienced. Can't you just FEEL the love?!?! LOL! This IS a great board and the only one I post on. I agree that the Mods are to be given a lot of credit for this board. I'd like to think that the brothers here make the Mods job relatively easy too. Most of the brothers here are just having a good time and sharing the hobby. Great bunch!
