I like a cedar box myself as well. I like the face that it makes it nice to store in a coolador or windeador as well so as to add extra cedar. When I was younger I thought the CAO releases that had humidors come with them were awesome. Until of course I found out that the sticks that came with them weren't all that great. The Vision was the best example of that but I didn't really like the Sopranos stuff much either.

I am a box hoarder...personal favorites are simple slb box with a burned in logo and maybe a reserva or habanos sticker (love the tat sw maddy box). But personally my favorite display is a jar. I just think they are classy

Im pretty utilitarian when it comes to the boxes.. I dont really care what they look like.. I just want them to be functional..

Ive seen a lot of boxes that look cool.. but take up a ton of space unnecessarily.. or are such an odd shape or a non standard height/width, that they dont fit well on the shelves of my cabinet or wineador..

When thats the case, I just take the sticks out of the box.. pitch it.. and end up putting the sticks in another box or tray that I have on hand that is better suited for my needs...

pretty pictures, carvings, etc on boxes is cool and all... but Im all about maximizing space and keeping sticks stored well... if the box looks pretty in addition to that... awesome!
Well said. If I have the chioce between the same cigar in a db or slb, I go for the slb everytime.

I like the plain wood boxes like the Undercrown and ligas. But there is something about the Headley Grange box it just looks classy. I do need to get one LOL But really if the cigars are no good then i dont care what the box looks like and I really perfer uncelo cigars but i understand they all cant be.

Boxes don't matter to me much at all. It's what's inside they counts!

That being said, I do love simple Spanish cedar boxes. Liga Privadas are simple but elegant, and still quite modern. PSD4 boxes are simple, elegant, and classic. Those are two favorite examples. I prefer the unfinished Spanish cedar of those to say the lacquered finish of Cohibas or Padrons.

My favorite box of all time was the Macanudo Trumps.

I thought the original CAO Criollo box was cool too.

Recently, the box I've really dug is (believe it or not) the BOTL 2012 box. Probably the coolest I've seen in awhile. From the screenprinting, to the rounded edges and the way the top slides...loved it.

I thought the EPC Dark Ritual box was pretty cool and the simple liga privada boxes are always nice (and I know it's flashy, but I can't help but like the behike boxes). I don't like it when the box is a lot bigger than it needs to be or very oddly shaped making it hard to store (I'm looking at you LFD Salomon box :) )

Yes jars! I wish more cigars came in a jar. They are not the best display for a retail humidor but I would buy them for the house stash. One day I'll restrict my home humidor to jars and wheels and keep the boxes at the store. There is nothing like the satisfaction of looking at a humidor full of wheels.
