Just Another Ashhole
Having been exposed to cigars for over 40 years there is merit to being able to distinguish certain brands as to how they have done over the decades. This particular part of cigar history is having a field day because of social media being able to get the word out in a matter of hours instead of weeks or months...being able to have Cigar Meetings all over the country is a boon to the popularity of the hobby...Cigar Forums, etc. There is more credible companies that make good product instead of the joke startups that we've seen over the years where celebrities would come out and put their name on a cigar but had nothing to do with the actual growing of it. As far as being able to see what company is going to be "hit or miss" is something that can only be done over a period of time and we've seen cigars that are a flash in a pan and then are gone. Longevity is a hard thing to establish and continue because tastes change with everyone....it's the smart Manufacturer that can keep up with the changes and yet hold their popularity because they make a great blend.....I've already mentioned those who are able to do this well in past threads.
As others have already said about subscribing to this thread....this is what is entertaining and informative to us...this is what we breathe and talk about because I think we genuinely love to share stories and facts about what we like. Let's think about how we express ourselves in this thread as it's not about what "our" favorites are or how we don't like another brand that was talked about by others...one brand being better than another. It's like people who love airplanes and want to share their personal opinions about aircraft in general....not about how one airplane is better than all the others. Sometimes it's just about enjoying a cigar and getting as much info as we can about it.
