I find that people at wedding rarely appreciate a "good" cigar. Instead they look for recognizable cigars. For my daughters wedding I bought a box of Romeo y Julieta's. I know it is an Ataldis cigar but most folks smoked an inch or two and put them out. However, they talked about the "Romeos" they smoked for years. I kept a nice stash under the table of my etter stock for people that knew their cigars. All in all everyone was happy
Exactly this... ^^^ And that all goes double if you anticipate the guests to be younger folks! In my experience, a crowd of +35 y/o guests will really try to keep em going, but the under-30's will smoke MAYBE an inch, then set em down and never look back.
For me, I take a fistful of General's Punch London Club Maduros. They generally catch on fire when you put a flame to them, and they more or less taste like a cigar - which, for $2.50/per, is just about all I care about.
They're also smaller, so it's (somewhat) less likely to make a true novice puke. (A disgrace General Cigar has chosen to save only for us regular cigar smokers, I guess... )
Edit:
Did a little price check and I can get 25ct boxes of these here for $53+tax. If you wanna go that route, be happy to work something out to ship you one.
Edit 2:
Oh. Guess this already happened. Weekend's over and I've no idea where all that time went!
