Sadly, no...

There is no postal service set up here yet.. the only way to get anything into the country is through DHL or by an international freight forwarder...

the current cost to send a letter sized envelope is just under $100... I have no idea what a single soccer ball would cost.. but Im guessing more than a couple of hundred dollars..

the way we bring things into country is to buy them in Kenya or Uganda and then truck them to Juba.. or we make purchases in the US.. and whenever someone from the states heads over to our project site, we pack the items in our checked luggage...

You could mail your items to my address in the US.. and then I could mule them over here the next time I come over (Ill be back in late may or early june I believe).. but mailing direct to Juba isnt really an option right now...

Im heading back to Juba in a couple of months and am looking to take over another load...

The school that I am trying to help is also in need of educational "posters" if anyone has something like that laying around.. in a nutshell, they dont have enough books to pass around.. so what they have been trying to do is get their hands on posters that they can hang on the wall that have something depicted on them that they can use to teach the kids something (all at once)... a map of the world.. a picture of an elephant.. etc.. then they can go to the blackboard to teach them to write the word associated with the picture.. etc...

PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THIS ABOUT ME... DO NOT SEND SMOKES... (or anything else that is intended for me).. PLEASE ONLY SEND SOMETHING THAT COULD BE USED BY A 5-15 YEAR OLD DISPRIVLEDGED CHILD TO EITHER LEARN OR PLAY WITH.. IF YOU SEND SMOKES IM JUST GOING TO HAVE TO BOMB YOU BACK.. NO FUN FOR ANYBODY (well.. ok.. maybe its fun.. but it is not the intention...)...

and please remember that space is limited.. if sending a ball.. please send something that can be deflated and reinflated when I get there.. etc...

also... PLEASE DO NOT SPEND MONEY OR GO BUY SOMETHING TO SUPPORT THIS... all I am looking for are the things you are no longer using, no longer want, no longer need, etc.. (Ive got tons of toys, etc.. that my kids dont play with anymore.. books and posters they dont read or display anymore, etc.. all I am looking to do is to collect up discarded items that someone else might benefit from..

I think I can dig up some balls from my boys stash and possibly a map of the world, it won't have south Sudan on it but they can add it in with a marker.
