Hmm...only had the LADC Mi Amor. I liked it, but I'm not sure if it'd be in my top 10...guess it depends on how the rest of the 25 shapes up.

I smoked a LADC Robusto and LADC Mi Amor back to back and preferred the Robusto. To me it offered more interesting flavors. The Mi Amor was a tad more bold on the body where the Robusto had these wonderful drawn butter flavors.

If it's linked to ad buying how do any CC's make the list?
Habanos have a mystique in the United States that CA loves to exploit. There is an element of cool through the whole forbidden fruit thing that gives CCs an edge they might not have otherwise - plus it gives CA's writers something to feel worldly about, not unlike music journalists who like to blab about obscure bands in an effort to look hip.

It would also stand to reason that the NC counterparts would get some collateral benefit from the prestige associated with their Cuban namesakes.

I can't believe the E.P. Carillo is on the list. I cannot stand his cigars.

Thank God someone finally is in agreement, thank you. I can't say that I can't stand them but I will say they are not worth the price of admission whatsoever. But to each his own and different smokes for different folks. I have tried tried and I don't get it. I actually think his core line is better than the 2009, short run, 2010. Though the 2010 was way better than that thing from last year, crappy wrapper and just an all round disappointment as far as my money goes.

They only smoke an inch of each cigar? I understand time constraints and all, but that's downright bizarre. :wtf:

Great list so far, I must say. Though I thought last year's list was actually pretty good too.

I've not had an Upman #2 or the LAdC Mi Amore, but I know many love them.

I've not had the EPC EL 2010, but loved the Short Run so that would have been my EPC nod.

I LOVE the Epernay, though I've not had the Le Matin vitola yet, it's a great blend. I'm very happy for Dion as he deserves Top 10 status (more, really) for his cigars. I also love the Air Bender, a fairly unique cigar and very tasty, though I've not had the Chisel vitola.

So I guess technically I've had 0 of these 5, lol.

Wouldn't you like to know?
Is the T52 up for the running since it was released in 2009 :scratchhe?

Dan
Doesn't seem to matter when it was released. The Upmann #2 has been around for a long time and it was top 10. Perfextion #2 won or was close to the top a couple of years ago and it has been around for a long time as well.

Its kind of silly but they rank every cigar. If that's true then you would think the #1's from previous years would all be top 10 too.

I think they should rate the NEW cigars of the year.

Maybe we will have to do our own. :)
