Nice work Brooks! Remember...stay away from the brown acid! JK...cigars are to each their own! No judgement made on what you like vs what others like! We all have our quirks and different tastes! Don't be ashamed if you still like em...hell...post up a review or two on your favs...it might change some of our minds!

Nice work again brooks!

I believe acid cigars are a starting point for a lot of people. Like myself about 5 years ago I smoked a few and liked them, then started trying other things, and started to appreciate the finer cigars. Even the smell of an acid turns me off now. It is a stepping stone a lot of BOTL's have taken, then moved up

I hate to bump such an old post but I did a search for "ACID" once I realized I stepped on my d*ck by saying those were my preference in my intro (on this site it makes me sound like a pussy).
First of all, never apologize for your taste in smokes. Smoke what you enjoy! Second, anyone who thinks someone else is a "pussy" because of the cigars they enjoy (or the food they eat, beer they drink, etc.) is an idiot. Smoking strong cigars doesn't make one more of a man. Add the fact that you're serving our country over in a hostile country while many of us here are posting from the comfort of our own homes, and you've got NOTHING to be ashamed of.

That said, take Brooks up on his offer!

Dude, don't do that... PM me your address over there, and I will make up a nice ISOM sampler for you...

Least I can do for you, and if it will help a BOTL shake the Acid habit, all the better :)

Never smoked an Acid either, nor have I ever wanted to.
I also don't like flavored coffee, yuck!

Never had a flavored cigar. Are they any good? I am more a black coffee type of person.
Doubt you'd like the Acid line, or most of the DE Natural line for that matter. I tried an Acid once, seemed a little un-cigar like to me, especially that sweet hit on the lips. I do like the Natural Root, which is probably the least "infused" in that line, no sweetness, but a subtle flavor which is a nice change of pace on occasions.

I've had the exact experience with any Flavored line of cigars. At first I thought they were ok and now I really don't care for them. I do on occasion still like a Java or Irish Hopps but as far as the others, they just dont cut the mustard!!

trendy to bash acid?

The way I see it, it's tobacco for people who do not like the taste of tobacco. Call it what you want; subculture, degeneration, alternative...I call it potpouri, and drinking perfume isn't on my to do list.

That's interesting, especially with all the review that note so many different tastes, many of which leave out "tobacco" as something they pick up on. The flavored and infused, although different and quite strong, are just a different flavor.

I do not smokes cigars because I want to taste tobacco; IMHO that's what Marlboro and Copenhagen are for, and they're much cheaper. I smoke cigars because I LOVE the experience, the way they allow me to relax, and the camaraderie found in doing so with others. I've found that cigars become less of a focal point and more of an instrument used in the whole experience. This is just my humble opinion, however; to each his own.

I've tried flavored smokes... they were all the rage for about 3 days.
After that they started to taste like essences of chemical fire.
Still have a box of Isla Del Sol just sitting and I refuse to smoke them... Then again I might grind one up and put it my pipe. I'll see how that goes.
