Holy chit Joe, thank God you are relatively unhurt.

Sorry to hear about the damage to your car though, so the crap out of that SOB!

Hit by a drunk from behind while stopped at a light, one of my worse fears while on the bike. And he hit you hard enough to push you into the intersection, and just some chipped paint on your vehicle? Sounds like you picked the right ride for the occasion. Hope the rest of it works out as well.

I talked to my insurance company today. I also talked to an attorney. That way I don't end up getting hit with any out of pocket costs. He is the most aggressive accident lawyer in the state of Pennsylvania.
I hope to stop at CI tomorrow for a smoke & to try & relax.
Damn lucky, to many become statistics at the hands of drunk drivers. Happy to hear you're in one piece and getting an attorney is a very smart move. Good luck and feel better bro.

Sounds like the initial impact caused Joe's foot to come off of the brake, another reason to count his blessings. If there was more traffic he could have been T-boned!

Glad you are Ok dude. Mother in law was saying the other day that a friend of her's son just got put away becasue he was drunk driving and only his first offense. I just looked at her and said, you probably would not think that way if he hit you. Now this. Man, take it slow and easy. This shit tends to come out in odd ways.

I just met with my attorney. He says it's cut & dry. So now I just have to deal with the doctors.

Again glad to hear you are doing well. Not sure about where you are, but in TN settelment amounts are pretty cut and dry as well. Cost to fix car, and three times your medical bills is what you would get.

not to be pessimistic, but when lawyers and insurance are involved, nothing is cut and dried. i'm still waiting, over a year, to get paid for a man i treated who was stopped and a light and rearended by a dump truck. the longer they can draw it out, the more they will.

Sorry to hear all this brother.

Definitely keep up with the doctor visits, you might feel good one day and then not so good the next.

Prayers sent for you

Car accidents are never fun, my father was in a fairly serious car accident last month but escaped with only whiplash to the back. Glad to hear your okay, rest up and consider pursuing physio therapy for your back.

Man whether you know it or not, you are blessed.
I would take a couple of days to feel what's going
on in my body, and pay close attention so that
they get everything and no "little issues" pop up later.

Glad that you were able to walk away. U might want to
also consider getting some lavender essential oil and use
it to rub where it hurts. Mix it with some olive oil, or grapeseed
oil. It's a great all natural anti-inflammatory.

Whoa. Glad to hear you're OK man. You handled it well. I hope everything works out with the legal portion as well. That's usually the most painful part of those sort of altercations.
