I was excited to see my fav cigar Tatuaje Cabaiguan Imperiales now comes with cello on the cigars.

I noticed some recent havana vi boxes also have cello.

I know we are split on this, but I hate not having cello'ed cigars. They always seem to get damaged between my humi and my travel cases. I'm so over $8+ sticks being damaged.

So anyone know whats up, is Pete going cello on some, or all, or what? I'd love to see them all get cello'ed.

We discussed this over a year ago, wondering what may have changed.

I would rather it be on the cigar when I purchase it and than let me decide to leave it on or take it off when I put it in my humidor!

Ditto.

Cello is a must when sending cigars to people. If they don't have cello, they need to be in 5-finger bag it something similar. I can't tell you how many damaged sticks I've recieved from smart, good BOTLs because the wrappers banged against other wrappers.

No thanks. Takes longer for me to remove it from every stick in a box! I live out of travel humidors, and rarely have damage with my cigars-and none of them have cello.

i hate cello!!!!

i hate the 3 seconds it takes to remove it when i'm ready to smoke

I do like how the non-cello smokes takes on the smell, taste. and accelerated aging the cedar provides

I'm split. There are some cigars I remove from the cello, and there are some I leave in it. It's a matter of experience. There are some yard gars that taste like a sock when they are in cello, but give them a week against a cedar tray and they are fit for a.....king.....on a lawnmower....

The main reason I want the cell on my cigars when I purchase them is....

think about all the people you see in a B&M's humidor, how many of them pickup cigars to smell them and how many physically touch the cigar to there nose....now think about cold and flu season and they put that cigar back in the box and that's the one "you" end of buying!

Put the cello on and let "me" remove it before it goes in my humi!

+1. I prefer cello anyway. Helps protect the wrapper and it's partly aesthetic to me. Not even sure why, just is.

Im with Larry. The hygeine issue is one, but also id like to have a choice as far as aging.

Some sticks smoke so good right out of the box, and if they dont have cello i will throw them in a small ziplock bag in hopes of delaying their aging process. Sometimes i wish those sticks had cello.

It's ok Larry, I smother my cigars in hand sanitizer before I smoke them. It helps them light faster and burn more even. I also get hints of isopropyl, medicine, and nutmeg in the first third.

Dats funny (Above Post)!!
I have Brown Tats without Cello and some I find get damaged (slightly) just from rotating. I have to be really carfull the older the stick.
I also gotta agree with Larry on both of his post. I prefer the cello because it keeps the cigar somwhat safe from hanling and germs to boot. Also I have seen where aged cigars really get frail and the wrapper will start to get brittle. I think the cello also offers some long time (resting) protection against this from happening as well. I may be wrong but atleast thats my reason for leaving it on.
