I agree. Leave it in the cello. I got burned once buying a sealed Fuente Family Charity thinner (the two sticks that come in a coffin). When I got home and opened it, both sticks were completely split. Looked like they exploded. Unfortunately, "getting home" was a 2 hour train ride, so I couldn't return it. If it was benefiting charity, I probably would have called the shop to work something out, but in this case I chalked it up to an $80 lesson learned. Now I always ask to open coffins.
