Christmas Lights

Don't wanna sound like a grinch, but decorating is such a PITA. I do love Christmas and have 2 little ones so no choice but to grin and bear it.

Last weekend I put the lights up on the house and my legs were killing me all week from going up and down the ladder. Today was Christmas tree day and i always get frustrated putting the lights on the damn tree. Who came up with the idea of bringing the outside in and then hanging crap on it Anyone else decorating yet?

Guarantee I'm one of the laziest SOB's on the board when it comes to this too.

I left my lights up from last year (I call them 'smoking lights' in the offseason and they cast a nice blue light on my patio) and we have a pre-lit artificial tree that is operated by remote control...lol

best $299 I ever spent man. If I could get one that came with the decorations already attached I would (but really, the kids put on everything but the angel anyway...)

I too disdain the ritualism and all. I was just telling the wifey today, "With the economy being what it is, the fact that we have seen our income reduced by 5, 10 and now 15% over the last three years (I work for the State...) Hell, I do not want to fork over what we can spend for Christmas to PG&E. And while I know it is not about gifts, try explaining that to your children and grandchildren.

Simply put, I hate it. So I will be doing it next Furlough Friday!

Come on guys think outside the box. I use one of those telescoping pole's. $15 and it takes about 15 minutes.
