Exact reason everything I get goes into the freezer. Better safe than sorry
@UpINSmoke.....talk to me about this, as I received a tobacco beetle ridden 10-pack today in the mail. What is the process of freezing cigars, and how do you bring them back down to temp and into the humi??

BTW, Im returning these, but I want to freeze others that were in the same box

Everything I get:

Wrap in plastic wrap, stick in freezeer bag.
Into fridge for 24 hours
Then into the freezer for 4-5 days (more if I forget they are in there lol)
Out of the freezer and either back in the fridge or just left on the counter for a day or two
Into the humi they go

Overkill? Maybe. Peace of mind. Absolutely

I don't freeze everything, but do freeze any house blends, customs, or anything that seems like there is a chance of beetles. I generally trust anything that comes from one of the big name companies. My procedure has always been place in a double sealed ziplock bag. 48 hours in a deep freezer, 24 hours in the regular freezer, 24 hours in the refrigerator, then back into the humidor. I'll then usually let them sit at least a week before lighting anything up.

I just wanted to say thank you and very good on everyone for just being upfront with this. This is a wonderful brotherhood where we care about the colections of each other and instead of being shunned or punished you are rewarded for being honest. I wish the real world was like this site, it would be a awesome place.
