My shop will normally put it on the band of the cigar for non cellod sticks.

Wow, that sounds lazy. I don't think I could shop there.

I could maybe see that if it was one of those Psyko Seven sticks. That band is basically an entire sheet of loose leaf paper, go ahead and put some Elmers on that one.

It's a smokers friendly. With a closet basically in the back. One shouldn't expect too much. But they have Ligas. So I can't complain too much.

Not an uncommon practice. And if they are very careful about not allowing the sticker to contact the wrapper, it isn't nearly bad enough to prevent me from shopping there.

Actually, the closest to perfect practice that I've seen is to put prices on boxes and have such a knowledgeable staff that they all know exactly what cigar/brand/vitola you're presenting at the counter. These shops ARE uncommon.

How many times have you had a B&M clerk ask you "Do you know how much this is?" or "What was the number on the box?" or "Show me which box you got this from?"......

Okay, stickers on the band, stickers on the actual wrapper,

This really doesn't seem so bad anymore -->

I must have it good here where I live.

I go to 4 B&Ms, all close to where I live, none of them do that.

One shop has a binder book with all of the product in alphabetical order, they just flip through and look up your cigar.

2 of them use the stickers on cello, and the 4th one, this guy just follows you so closely around the humi that he's like rainman'ing some shit in his mind I think...but that's another story.

from my experience, all production ligas, including the 9/52 and regular production unicos, only the FFP is in cello, i always found this odd.
you can argue the tails on the rats and 13s, but then why things like the l40 and whatnot ship naked.
anyone from de ever shed light on this?
I've never had a Ratzilla, but judging from this post made today, it appears to have a fan tail yet also in cellophane. I'm thinking cellophane wouldn't necessarily damage a fan tail if it were the right length.

Just to add to this, the fan tails on the dirty rat and ratzilla seem to be about the same size whereas the UF-13 is larger.
The Ratzillas came in paper bundles. Where as the Dirty Rats come in a box.

That's right. I forgot all about that.
