This is a stunning photo showing the common rolling method found in Nicaragua. It's with a rolling machine that applies the binder leaf to the bunched filler tobacco. See how the outer few layers of leaves seems to be in a circular pattern and the inner tobacco is more random? That's how they're assembled.
The roller grabs the different leaves that make up the blend, places them all in their hand and arranges them according to location in the cigar (among other things). He puts the bunch of tobacco into the cigar "machine" (seen below) called a Lieberman machine and rolls it up to put into the mould. Very cool example!
