I have a stupid ritual too, and since I am like some others that do not have time to smoke every day, I like to ponder for a while (sometimes a couple days) which cigar will be in flames next.
Winter months: Remote start truck. Go down to basement, grab said cigar (always know which I am choosing before it gets selected as my collection isn't big enough to forget everything I have), let cigar sit out in the low humidity for about 20 mins as I pour a drink. Remote start truck again.
Cut cigar.
Get geared up with my smoking sweater, and prefered hat (BOTL).
Grab my Ipod, smartphone, drink, keys, earpieces, lighter and I am off.
Sit in truck and watch a movie, or listen to a podcast.
Enjoying the moment is almost as satisfying as the cigar itself.
