  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

If you are a new cigar smoker this is one of the best ways to get into a large variety of sticks. Holts has an excellent club that provides pretty good stuff. I would not sell CI short. The club is cheap and the cigars are plentiful. Learning about various blends and manufacturers is fun. Learning you like better sticks but some bargain sticks are still good is priceless. Many B&M's also have clubs where you get to try a stick with a bunch or other enthusiasts.

I agree with mdwest. I was enrolled in Thompson's Cigar of the Month Club as well for about 3 months. I wasn't overly satisfied with the sticks I was getting, but I also didn't feel ripped off.

I did, however, enjoy the newsletter/breakdown of each cigar--nice to read a little something about the stick as your are smoking it.

I canceled after 3 months and have gotten calls every month since from Thompson asking me to sign back up again---no thanks.
