Yep, dark days indeed. Havana's QC issues put me off cubans for a good 5 years.good move....2001 was a great year to find plugged sticks, and you're looking at CoLas?

Very interesting, I have wondered about this. I put 13 of the 2005 Clasicos in a tall 1 1/2 pint jar and will crack them open after 6 months. I wanted to see if sealing them make a difference after all this time.I've had really good luck with the '05 H. Upmann Mag 46s in the cardboard. I put them in a cab for 6 months, and they smoke wonderfully now.
Thank you for your expertise..I'm decided not to take itI wouldn't risk it. At that cost I would opt for newer production within the last 4-5 years. I have smoked quite a few old cigars. Anywhere from the 1930's and up. I can tell you for sure it is extremely hit or miss! Not to mention that era of production has a terrible reputation for beinng plugged. Just my lousy 2 cents.
Grab some 2015 CCEs instead, they have been smoking great.Thank you for your expertise..I'm decided not to take it
I am not sure you would get the same result in a jar, my experiment was more about having them in the wooden cab than having them "sealed", per se.Very interesting, I have wondered about this.
