I had heard a little bit about these a while back and read something just recently about them. Has anyone try one? If so, how are they?

Anyways if you have any info about these cigars please post, I'd like to know more about them. Thanks

I read the wrapper is aged 5 years to get a natural maduro taste. The binder and filler is aged and triple fermented the normal amount of time.

At those prices would be a shame to burn even one now just to find out. I would wait a minimum 1 year to even test one of them.

They're not out till the 27th of this month, IIRC.
5 year wrapper and standard Cohiba filler. I'm gonna smoke one the day I get them! The little (~4.3x40, I believe) guys are only like $12 each, which is not too horrible compared to some of the NCs on the shelves nowadays. And the smaller ring gauge will be cool, cause it's the wrapper we care about most.

I haven't seen them listed on any of the sites I've been looking at. Could you PM me the place you've seen them. Thanks

I have only tried the Genois, 52 x 5 1/2. As others have stated tradional filler/binder aging of three years and the wrappers are indeed age five years. Attractive darker cigar designed for the North American marketplace. Good cigar now, but as is always true more refined with age. The third line for this marca and likely a good long term addition.

Does it take you like an hour to post when you have to capitalize every word in every sentence??

How have you tried them, they have not been released yet.
They were released at the Habanos festival, a few guys from another board had them, plus they had pics to prove it.

I'm excited about the little guys. If they're only $12 each and are in boxes of 10, they'll be in the range for the average joe. Not like the big ones in boxes of 25, those are going to be expensive. Too expensive for my taste. Well, not really my taste, but my bank account. lol

There are some decent pricing on these but even at those attractive prices, I'm passing......tempting to sock these away to age but honestly, there are a lot more other cigars that hold my interest.

Having seen new releases come and go you will find that everything in Cuba is not what it always seems. These cigars were available slightly ahead of the 27th date alluded to. Not a big deal, but your better contacts could provide them a bit earlier. Not to worry as they are part of the regular Cohiba line as you likely know.

The debate will certainly never end as to the value of a Cohiba cigar. They are indeed as fine a cigar that comes out of Cuba. While we all have our favorites, this is one fine marca and IMHO, worth every penny.
