Would you be mad if you found out that these "platinum" stores were selling the samplers to non-members? What if they were not only selling them to non-members, but they were pre-selling them. Now when you, a paying member, goes to purchase your sampler the day they get there, and there are non left. What say you....

Maybe there selling it as by the cigar sampler and get a free membership to CRA?

They are, which makes the sampler more appealing to a non-member. Not the way I understand it was supposed to take place..

Well while I might not be happy about it, the sampler is designed as an incentive to get more people to join the cause one way or the other, right?

If CRA has to bribe people with cigars then maybe I should of waited and gotten my membership this way.
Looks like we were the ones that were ripped off?

CRA says that it is a sampler w/ free membership. The way I understood is that it had to be purchased by a member and given to a non member. This is not the case, non-members make out here....

Just got off the phone with with Brian over at CRA. Yes, the sampler can be purchased by non members.

Its a tough thing for CRA. Try to recruit new members and also make there old members happy.

CRA is in its infancy and they are working on programs that you can actually use your Membership Card for discounts and other promotions.

So if you can get your hand on a sampler then grab it. Its for a good cause.

Just seemed to me that you would get more members the other way, I buy one give someone the membership, they buy one give someone the membership etc. etc.

i agree with you guys. I first thought it was bullshit and I was pissed. I sent an email to CRA. 10 minutes later Brian called me on the phone to discuss my complaint.

He agreed with me on how the deal does nothing for CRA member and only rewards Non CRA members.

But he did say that these people do not get the 2 cigars that we received with our membership.

In his reply he said the same, where I said that I didn't receive anything for signing up either. That is not really the point for me, the point is how it was a members only thing, their site still says that.

Hey I know these things are to get members, but take care of your members first. I will be very upset if I go to get one next week and there are none available.

Like I told Brian, it is not always the size of the crowd but the passion of the crowd. Would you rather have members that believed in what you were doing or members that signed up to get a Tat black or Forbidden X.

I would feel completely different about these if they were advertised as for sale to anyone. JMHO
