Totally awesome pics! (y) Hope you're loaded for bear when you walk those trails brother!
Smith and Wesson model 629 in .44 mag. All the time when in the woods. Now if I could keep the ticks at bay, third one this year and just came from the docs office for the last on and other things....
Thanks for all the kind words, I'll keep posting the better pics if you want them. I really enjoy seeing what's out there when I ain't around, now for a Bigfoot pic(y)

Not boring at all man, awesome to see, especially for people like me across the world who have never seen a bear or a proper (wild turkey bottle) turkey.

We have our own variations here in Australia but no where near as impressive...

The dreadfully intimidating KOALA... they literally sleep most of the day, because gum leaves make them stoned and could be outrun by a toddler..

And the oh so elaborate scrub turkey... these are everywhere...

And people think everything wants to kill you in Australia :joyful:

Beautiful Bear, please share more. But if I saw a Bear that close to me I'd be crapping my pants.
I once punched a black bear. While i was on exercise in cfb gagetown we were having a Problem with a few bears. One night i heard some noises and grunts just outside my tent, thought it was one of the guys goofing around. I hauled off and hit it really hard and what i hit was much more solid then i was expecting. I stuck my head out the tent and see the bear running for the woods.

That made me laugh, when I do reenacting we often joked about doing that. We are always pokin at other tents just yankin around. Hmmm, may have to rethink that:)

That koala looks cuddly, but it would probably rank right up there with huggin that black bear.
