Good morning BOTL - Just wanted to drop-in and say thanks for the interest and support you guys have shown towards Four Kicks.

I do want to clarify one misconception, though. Tim Ozgener has zero connectivity to Four Kicks or Crowned Heads, LLC. I will always be indebted to the Ozgener family as they gave me my start in this business some 15+ years ago (my first day with CAO was April 15, 1996 to be exact).

That said, it's very important that we lay these rumors (heard them before) to rest that Tim "is behind" Four Kicks. Tim is currently enjoying his time with his wife and family, and is actively involved as an investor in a very successful bar (and also a restaurant) here in Nashville.

I'm always fascinated how rumors and hearsay seem to be able to turn into 'fact' via the rumor/gossip mill.

I hope that clears this up, and again, thank you for supporting Four Kicks.

Jon,

Thanks for taking the time to clarify. And you're perfectly right...The age we live in lends itself all too well for misinformation to rapidly become "fact".

I am very excited at what I have learned from your website, and hope to smoke a sublime this weekend :)

Musterion - I just wanted to touch on your comment about the "ego-maniacal" bloggers for a minute...

That blog entry I wrote ("A Special SEE-gar") has garnered a lot of attention--ironically, mostly from cigar bloggers. That said, I can't remember ever being taken out of context as much as I was on that particular blog. In fact, the "ego-maniacal blogger" portion was actually taken from ANOTHER blog that someone wrote about mine(!). I never used the words 'ego maniacal' in that blog. The true message was let's get back to just enjoying cigars for what they are--not necessarily needing to 'flower' everything up with obscure flavor descriptives.

Also, I still maintain that bloggers exist because manufacturers and brand owners exist. As I've said, "Film makers can exist without film critics--but it doesn't work the other way around."

Funny enough, after I wrote that blog I received text messages and emails from bloggers asking, "were you talking about me?" I would never call people out; however, if someone references 'ego' and you're asking, "was that about me..."--I think that says something. LOL

Bottom line is I LOVE what the bloggers do and I follow a lot of them religiously. Why? Because I'm a cigar geek and I enjoy what they bring to the business. I was just saying let's keep things in perspective, fellas.

I would encourage people to read my follow-up blog ("The Jury Is Out") for more on this...it's in the Blog section of CrownedHeads.com. Give it a read if you're bored and need to waste 5 minutes.

Thanks for listening.

Just finishing up my second Piramide this morning and I'm loving it! Smoked them all except the Corona Gorda but I definitely see picking up a box of these soon.

Jon,
I read your follow-up to that post about the bloggers. You explained yourself and I agree with you completely. I have a somewhat sarcastic nature and was poking fun at the thread that occurred on this forum. I did not mean any malice towards you.
The battle of the bloggers will go on as long as there are people (including myself) who read them.
At the end of the day, it's all about the cigars. I picked up a handful of Four Kicks today from a retailer and am anxious to try them.

Now if I could only understand what KOL were talking about in the song, I'd be all set. Great song and hopefully a great cigar.

Picked some up at Tower yesterday. The robusto is a really nice smoke. Perfect construction, plenty of rich flavor and a slightly sweet finish I usually associate with CCs. I'm in for a box...

Can't wait to get to try these somewhere here in Central Texas. They sound awesome. You got a good team producing these sticks. Hopefully they are box worthy. I really love the design for your trucker hat, I wish I could find a place that had them.

Jon -

Has the list of retailers been changed? Churchill's in Phoenix was (I believe) on the original list, but doesn't seem to be on there any longer and hasn't received any.

Can you clarify?

Thanks-
Patrick

I just got a four cigar sampler and smoked one right away. It was a robusto size, and had burn problems and would not stay lit. Some really good flavors detected at points. No ding on the cigar though...I gotta stop smoking cigars 30 seconds after UPS sets the package down on my doorstep :(

Had heard about this cigar. Made a blind box purchase of the robusto.
Glad I did. Nice packaging, cigar is rich, nice flavor.
Very nice cigar (IMHO).

Just picked up my Four Kicks over the weekend. I look forward to smoking it and... 'flowering' everything up with obscure flavor descriptives.

Hehe, I kid, I kid.
