Am smoking another MDP Southern right now. I've never been a huge CT-shade guy...but this CT Ecuador is makin me a believer. I've gotta say I'm pretty happy with where we were able to take the flavor profile with this light-shade wrapper leaf--with the invaluable assist of the Garcia family, of course.
The challenge with this blend was not stepping up the spice element so much that it overshadowed the naturally creamy-buttery-smooth nature of the CT Ecuador wrapper, but enough so that the flavor profile exhibited character and structure. This smoke is all about balance, finesse, and nuance.
