I don't see the rationale for the embargo. We trade with other communist countries and arab countries with human rights records as bad or worse than Cuba. The key is the other countries have products we need (ie, oil, cheaply manufactured products.) I think both sides are determined not to blink first. If we cave then the Cuban government has a huge propaganda victory. If there markets are opened to our products and services, maybe the government will feel threatened. Either way, the only ones suffering are the Cuban people.

I'm from Sweden and don't have enough insight in american politics to answer question number one. I hope for Your (and the Cuban people) sake that the embargo will be lifted very soon.
In general I prefer Cuban cigars to other. The negative side about Cuban cigars is the time factor. Usually they need a few years to get really good. Of course that can be said about cigars from other countries as well but they don't need the same amount of time.

For real? It's the trade embargo with Cuba. The reason we can not buy Cuban Cigars, rum or anything else Cuban.
