THAT my friend is hitting the nail on the head!Do any of you boys remember the cigar boom (Late 90s / early 2000s) and the resulting quality?
One of the most compelling reasons I know to stock up on your favorites, when the embargo is lifted it will make the boom seem like a popcorn fart.
I'm not sure if that is your feeling or what you think the US government feels. I have not met a single person who has been to Cuba, who wants US influence in that country. Anyone who has been there understands the positive outcome through capitalism will be overshadowed by the chaos that ensues. Democracy 'in principle' would be great for the Cuban people. But 'in principle' so is socialism....once he croaks then we'll go in there and do what we do best...

Since Altadis' sale (or pending sale) there is no guarantee that Imperial will obtain the 50% hold on Habanos S.A. I haven't heard the outcome yet (been awhile since I've heard an update) but Imperial was in negotiations with the Cuban Government. The original Altadis contract stated that the 50% holding could be deemed null and void upon sale of Altadis....Altadis owns 50%. They gave Cuba improved technology, marketing, and most importantly cash.
