Romeo y Julieta


Pre-revolutionary, global marca established by Ignacio Álvarez and Mannin García in 1875. The name comes form Shakespear's tragedy "Romeo and Juliet". Sir Winston Churchill's usual brand, it is medium strenght using tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region.​

Post-revolutionary, niche marca first produced in El Laguito in 1969. Uses a similar blend than that of the Cohiba's without the third barrel fermentation. Medium strenght using tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region.​

Post-revolutionary, multi-local marca launched in 1997 in honor of Don Alejandro Robaina, reknowned tobacco farmer from the Vuelta Abajo region (80% of his annual harvest is used for CC wrapper, opossed to the average 35% of other plantations). Medium to full strenght using tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region.​

Post-revolutionary, local marca which begun production in 1961 for domestic consumption, made by the Francisco Donatién Factory in Pinar del Río, commonly rolled for national banquets and public affairs. They were launched for export in 1997 with the name they were known by. Full strenght using tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region.​

I don't like them. I don't think they taste like Cohibas, but that doesn't mean YOU won't like them. Fire one up & see.
I actually consider that a good thing. I think my expectations have been driven too high with cohiba so they never seem to live up to what I am hoping for. Few exceptions are well aged 5+ years or the best cohiba I have ever had never even got to the band on before being gifted to me by the manager of the factory.

The Cohiba Maduro's are great imo.... Not a fan of many of the other Cohiba smokes but the maduro's are one of my favorites
I sorta agree I found them quite harsh when young but they improved with age faster then any other cigar I have smoked. I haven't moved on from the original release yet but those are quite good now.

I now have officially seen the Troya Coronas Clubs in plastic tubes. have not seen any info on the net yet so maybe I should send one to Brooks for pics and a review. It might be slumming it for Brooks but there is no other info anywhere on it
