Sharp Punch unless its too big (sometimes its inapropriate - like over 50 for me, some guys switch at a lower gauge...), then i like a good double guillotine. its all preference, there are no correct choices. smoke on.......

I use a double blade "waiting for my Palio to ship" but I do punch every now and then. I like both methods but no specific reason

i go double blade all the time. I have used a punch but didn't care for the draw. In a pinch I have used my poultry shears out of my toolbox.

I have tried every means of cigar cutters and the V Cut ( cats eye ) is the one I always return to. It will make a perfect cut on every type of cigar ( yes, even torpedos, belicosos, etc. ) and makes a better draw and the end never collapses or gets that nicotine ooze to your lips. I have had mine for over 10 years and it cuts just like it has since day one.

Same here. Occasionally I won't get a good draw if there is a tight spot right at the head. Then I usually re-cut with a double-blade guillotine and try that. If it still doesn't draw I give it to one of the goats.

If it's a small ring guage I go double blade guillotine, for everything else I've come to punching 3 or 4 holes in an x pattern. It seems to give me a perfect draw on robustos on up.

Depends on the cigar, but if I can punch, I usualy do. Xikar makes punch's in 7mm, 9mm and 10mm so they are great for just about any ring cigar. I have a 7mm and 9mm and am happy with both. My cutter is also a Xikar, like the brand although I've never had a Palio, and hear rave reviews about them.

Sadly i only have a Double Blade G. They are not bad but I am getting tired of the little bits getting in my mouth, as well as the occasional messing up of the wrapper. I will be purchasing a punch soon.

I punch most everything. But with torpedo's I use my xikar scissors. I have a couple of xikar double blades but they sit on a shelf and look pretty.
