Does anyone have an opinion on how they like to cut Torpedos, Belicosos, or Pyramids? I've been reading some conflicting opinions via the web from some dodgy-looking sites, so I figured that I post it here to see what the Brothers thought.

I cut it straight and start small and see how the draw is. Then clip a tad more if need be. Not a huge fan of the slanted torpedo cut.

Personally like to just str8 cut the tip and leave as much of it as possible...

I have been using my v cutter on everything lately.

It works great on torps. If I want a little better draw, I cut it again 90 degrees off of the other one.

This is what I do as well. All in all, it makes no difference as long as you don't cut off an inch of the cigar. I'd suggest avoiding a punch, not very effective... :pokemyeye

But seriously, cut it how you'd like, bro. Nobody else is smoking your cigars, cut it the way that works best for you!

I use a Dickman cut (slant at about 45 degrees). It lets me direct the smoke towards my upper palate instead of hitting my tongue directly. That means less tongue irritation. Like the others, I start smaller, then increase til I hit the Goldilocks point, testing the draw with each cut.

Probably the best course of action in my opinion. Just cut small bits off gradually and test the draw each time to see if it is to your liking, its hard to go wrong this way.

Three snips with a perfect cut double guillotine (I use the LP9 cutter) and it's good to go.
