To try to get you to hold out for a little longer till the new iphone...

Pull apart battery and phone and place them by the vent under you fridge. Let it sit there for a day. Look at the phone and if u see no visible water and do not hear it sloshing around inside...put battery back in. It should fire back up. Inlaws live on a lake and have many of phones and ipods in it...it works everytime. The motor to your fridge produces a lot of dry heat and it will clear it all up. Most new phones shut down with any sign of water as fail safe (so I have heard). Give er a try...might get you long enough till you get ur new phone.

I'd get the Blackberry Bold..i have it and the Iphone...Iphone no insurance...screen breaks $200 a pop, no picture mail or mms message until mid sept/oct maybe later. still has a 1.3 megapixel camera, no flash. Yea it has a million apps which you'll prob use 50 of them. I unlocked and jailbroke my 3G but it still doesn't make me like it much better. You can't multi-task with the iphone...I'd do lots of research before you take the plunge, and don't talk to an apple/iphone fanboy... just my .02

if you wanna play with a really tiny ball......get the BB, the new Tour is pretty nice, but I just couldn't live without touchscreen anymore, the Storm was BB's worst phone ever.

I'm sure most of you friends would let you play with their phone, play with either for a few minutes, you'll find out quick.
Wifi is oh so very nice on the iPhone, but the biggest thing....... I use my phone as my iPod as well, I have it in my car to listen to music, I also have Pandora on it so I can listen to that at home or in the car, some Apps are just 100% useful, some are just damn fun. I have about 80 apps or so. you can watch live TV on the iPhone, I have a spy cam app on my phone so I can see what's going on in my house all day long, great to watch the dogs, the facebook app is so much nice on the iPhone, I also have a remote to control my iTunes library from my phone so when I wanna listen to a song on my stereo, I plug my laptop in the stereo and control it via phone,
Where else can you play Wolfenstein3d on your phone, hehehe.

so again, if you wanna have all your music on you at all times...............

Believe it or not. If you ever drop your phone in water, you can still usually save it.

If you take out the battery right away, and place the battery and the phone in a bowl of rice over night.

I have done this myself.

As for the tolet, throw the damn thing away, and get a new one.

Naw, we have Alltel right now and our contract is up, so options are unlimited for me. God, I just wish there was an obvious choice.

The tour is still pretty glitchy... we issued several to folks as work devices and they have been hit or miss.

Best advice given so far: Go play with your friends phones... and better yet, have them come to your house/work to play with them... so you know if the signal and PHONE capabilties are what you're looking for in your area with the different carriers.

After you get your hands on some devices, you'll know which one will be the obvious choice.

Isn't technology awesome (and usually infuriating)?!

Get the iPhone, Wade. I was a bigtime naysayer when my buddies in the states were raving about it pre-release. They were released up in Canada in July 2008. I had one in August, and haven't looked back. It's truly the best cell phone I've ever owned.

And Sascha, I want to find out some of the apps you're using bro. Sounds like you've got yours wired bigtime. heh.

That sucks Wade, lol. At least you get a nice phone now ... or was that your plan all along?

I personally have an iPhone and really love it. Can't comment on the Blackberry from experience, though.

OK, after a weekend of letting my phone sit in the sun and a night of having it take a bath in rice, MY PHONE WORKS! Still, our contracts are up and we're gonna make a switch soon, so.... I'm leaning toward the iPhone, but the one thing that draws me to the BB is the camera, more megapixels and a flash.
