Great job gentlemen! I do not have a daughter so I will be less than useless in that area. As far as my wife goes...
We make random ice cream night a thing. Could be for any reason or no reason. We finish dinner and I will just say its time to go. She knows what I mean and we go sit and enjoy a hot fudge sundae. She loves it and I get ice cream. Win-win. Also, every friday is dinner date night. If we have my son he comes with but otherwise its just the two of us.
And @bwhite220 , we were just at Pinnacle Hills yesterday. I tried to get my wife to let me hit you up and try to grab a stick but she wasn't up for that. Instead she "made me" add another box to my cigar order tonight. Keep em happy and they reward you.
Aawwww that's so sweet!! Heehee @bostoneo needs to read some of these and get ideas!! Lol no kids yet but dating ur wife section

I will be married 26 years next month. I have 3 daughters (22,20,18) and a son (15). I've spent a lot of time coaching and traveling with sports with my daughters. That was "our thing". Often times I had to take them on tournament trips without my wife and other kids and we would go out to eat, hang out, etc. This has given me a close and special relationship with my daughters that now I'm building with my son... I taught all three of my daughters how to drive and I taught my wife how to drive (met her two weeks before her 18th birthday).....Relax fellas, I wasn't always old......
A little advise to our younger brothers here.........Time goes by sooooooo fast. Whatever you do, always make time to get to know and spend time with your kids because before you know it, they're grown, out of college and doing their own thing and you never get that time back..

Harry Chapin's song "Cats in the Cradle" is sooo true. When I get home I will post a pic of my four from 2001 and today. Can't believe it.

Tagging a great dad who loves to take his daughter out.
@multi-useless
Jamie is an all around great dude!
Awww, you guys make me feel so special!

But yeah, this thread is right in my wheelhouse. My daughter is 8, and her mom and I aren't together, but I get a lot of time with her and we do a ton of stuff together. Blues hockey games are one of our daddy/daughter traditions and we got an early start this year, at the first pre-season game 9 days ago.

Snuck out of work for a few hours today to go on her class field trip with her, lol.

Amen. I tell people you carry them in the house in a blanket, and the next morning, they're backing the car out of the driveway to leave. Make some memories while you can and cherish every phase of their lives. It's all good stuff.

Been married 8 months... so not much experience yet. I come from twice divorced parents (to each other, yeah weird) so I am making it a priority for me to always foster a growing relationship. Always pursuing my wife is one of the ways I plan to do this. Luckily my wife loves hunting and fishing so it is easy to convince her to head up north to her parents. When she has a particularly rough/tiring day she's usually greeted with flowers, red wine and dark chocolate when she gets home from the clinic.

Our date nights are random but the last one we did was a nice evening and a local sushi restaurant and we just got to talk about the past few months of busy-ness. Very nice to unwind.

Great thread idea! Enjoyed reading and hope to keep reading and maybe get some great ideas. No kids yet so we'll see when that comes. Thanks all for sharing.
