I'm definitely a Cameroon fan, but they are so damn hit or miss. Either they are executed perfectly and are very enjoyable or I could go my entire life without ever lighting up that particular Cameroon cigar again. I'll definitely try it, at $10 it doesn't want to make me vomit or anything but its a little high for something I'd reach for with any regularity. The fact that Swisher makes it doesn't bother me at all because much to my surprise I tried a General Cigar product recently that I enjoyed quite a bit and never would have guessed that it would have been any good. I'll reserve judgement for later. Having said all that, I certainly won't go out of my way to track these down or pay shipping for a few singles. If they pop up at a local I'll snatch one up.

10 seems to be an opening point for many, even new cigars from smaller brands than DE.

While I'm certain they're getting paid handsomely from Swisher it's more than a bit surprising, but maybe they hope it's an in to a different area of the market. Sell them this, and they might be down the slope to other DE products that appeal to the newer or less enthusiast smoker (Acids, flavored and MyUzi) which are already higher earners for their portfolio.

Prices are going up across the board, no doubt. Increasing taxation in certain states doesn't help either. There are still plenty of sticks that can be found around in the $6-8 range MSRP that are fantastic and online shopping I can find some of my favs for as low as $4-6. If I'm going to shell out $10/pop regularly it had better be a damn fine stick AND come in a vitola that I enjoy.

$9 for a 4 x 44 is silliness, and I can't even begin to wrap my head around that. Especially when a CG is less than a dollar more and the most expensive vitola is about $1.50 more. Seems to me that unfortunately PC prices are going up, up, up. For the Room 101 San Andres the PC costs more than a damn corona. WTF is that? Years ago it was considered ridiculous when the Viaje Exclusivo Shortie was priced at $6. Hell, thats a damn bargain for a good NC PC now it seems. I'm sure if it ever got re-released I would want to induce vomiting as I could imagine the price would be right around $9.

Jeez. Another from DE? I am interested with the cameroon. I loved the Herrera Esteli. I had one KFC and it was ehh. Way too tight to smoke. Haven't had the Nica Rustica yet. Can't find them anywhere local. I'd be interested to try this one. Seems a bit expensive but I'd still buy one to try.

Thanks for posting guess I'll keep my eye out for them. Do any shops offer preorders on cigars? Sorry I'm kind of new to this stuff.

If you're a fan of Cameroon wrapper, I definitely recommend trying it. Well balanced, medium strength and clean taste - IMO a good cigar to start the morning with some spice.
