Woohoo! This is shaping up to be a great event. I think we are gonna strength test Todd's new deck :yes:

My wife works at hilton and is able to get an extra room @ $29/night, but only one room since we're using the other. We booked it just incase.

Let me know if anyone or a few of you want to share a room.

Here's the hotel info, looks like its about 15min away.

Is anyone attending know how to make them? I could send my bottle of HC Reserva but from what I recall, it's best to use HC 7yr or younger?!? :dunno: Hopefully Mikes or someone else can chime in here...

I've never had them, but have seen plenty of recipes...don't think they are all that difficult to make with the right ingredients?

From the back of a Havana Club bottle:

1 ounce lime juice
1 ounce HC
4 ounces club soda
mint leaves
sugar

From a CW post....

Muddle mint and sugar. Add to glass of ice, with rum, club soda, and mint.

(A bartenders' guide says that, in muddling the mint and sugar, the sugar should dissolve in the oils that are released from the leaves. I've never been able to do this, myself.)

I have fresh mint in the back yard if you want me to bring some. We made mojitos with it a few months ago.

To muddle the mint leaves you use the back of a spoon, and the coarse sugar should break them down when you grind it into it, sorta like a mortar and pestle.
