The man has got tobacco flowing through his veins. I wonder what he'd roll if he had access to Cuban tobacco again...

Also a Pepin whore here. Tats and My Fathers the best. Current favorites are the Red Tube Veros and original El Tri Lanceros. Although nothing beats a Cab Guapos with coffee in the morning.
Cab Guapos it is for today smoke! Thanks, BoSox. I was starting to get a headache. :hysterica

Everything the man makes is wonderful. Hell, his low-budget Benchmade cigars are wonderful.

If I had to pick a favorite of Pepin's I'd probably go with the My Father Le Bijou 1922 Petit Robusto.

I'm a huge Pepin fan! I want to try everything he's made. Will take me a while he's a busy guy. However, for some reason I can't get into the blacks. Going to let the blacks that I have relax in the humidor and see if they dont develope into something I like over time. I got plenty of time!
Quite some time indeed.

For those who haven't already I think Old Henry really is one of his best cigars. They are a Holts exclusive. I've yet to try the Maduro or newer Connecticut but the Natural as fantastic.

601's are great, Tatuaje of course, San Cristobal and La Aroma de Cuba, etc.

I don't believe I've had anything by Garcia. I'll make sure to pick some up next time I'm at a B&M since everyone has good things to say about him.

I am a Pepin whore too
All of those are good smokes, here are a few additions to the list:
Any Tat
Old Henry
5 Vegas Miami
601, I like the greens the best

I just got a box of San Cristobals, and 601 greens, and always have 5 Vegas Miamis and Pepin Blacks on hand. The only one I havent liked was the Fumadore, but I think that was his kid
I heard he blended the Padilla Miami too, but not sure

Has anybody had the Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial? :help:

Where to start with San Cristobal? :chat:
The Jaime Reserva is a terrific smoke and somewhat of a departure from the other Pepin lines. Medium-bodied but lots of flavor and not as spice-driven as some of the other blends. I went through a box of Belicoso's in about three weeks. I really enjoy the Broadleaf cover leaf that's used in this line.

As far as the San Cristobal line goes, I'd suggest the Francisco (Corona) or the Guajiro (Lonsdale-like, 6 5/8 x 46). These smaller ring gauges give you the best idea as to what the blend is like, IMO.

I just had a Pepin Black 1979 robusto and I smelled the foot prelight and it smelled exactly like a horse stall. I've had cigars before that had a little barnyard smell but this was dead on. While most non-cigar smokers would be disgusted, I was overjoyed. It was a wonderful smell:) I also clipped the cap and smelled it and it burned my nose with pepper. You've got to love that in a cigar.
