My B&M has been around for so long he's always got the limited stuff, and he saves some for us since we're "regulars" in the lounge.
I usually buy single's whenever I'm in there to show my support, and pick up a rare box when he has them an no one else does (or I'm impatient). I enjoy the atmosphere there so "losing" a few bucks to the high tax here in CT to have a great place to smoke is no issue w/ me.

I live in Sweden and due to taxes cigars are around three times online prices and due to regulations you can't even smoke in the cigarshops(only outside but not really possible now because of polarbears). Online and tradesare the way to go!!

I agree with you on supporting local buisnesses but the countries economy has made it very hard for the cigar smoker to budget in our favorite smokes. I have a couple B&M's here, one is large, one is small. They carry most if not all of the stuff you can get everywhere else however they do not carry the higher end stuff, HTF, or LE's. For this reason I do most (98%) of my shopping online.

I have bought most of my large purchases online. there have been times i buy 100+ worth of sticks at the B&M, But in general i usually buy 1 or 2 sticks when i stop in and smoke.

It's easy for me living in Japan. I have to order online, or go out to a cigar club near Tokyo and buy CC's..........I guess I get the best of both worlds!

Currently my humidor is full of stuff bought at B&M's. Up to about 6 months ago it was completely opposite. The shops have been running good deals and events where I can maximize my money so I'm happy to support them.

I do tell my shop when his price is to high and I can save a bunch online. He usually tries to help me out and lower the price (on a box) and see how close he can come to the online price. If it's close enough I support him, otherwise I get it online.

I live in Canada.

Purchasing from a B&M is the equivalent of using your Colibri torch to burn your money.
That couldn't be closer to the truth. Was speaking to the owner of a local B&M close to where I live and he said that it's the Canadian distributors that dictate pricing and brands sold here (at least in Ontario). If the tax slash pricing is equivalent to that of a CC brand, they don't bother. I wasn't an economics major but i do understand supply and demand. That being said I'm sure it's a cash grab by marking up prices so high here. Retailers never adjusted pricing based on the exchange rate. My $0.02 at least.

I hit the local B&M for singles & to try new cigars... boxes are just too pricey so I look for sales online or at least free shipping.

Been buying Casa Manga singles lately since I cant find a box of colorados on line anywhere.:dunno:
Try cigarplace.biz. Think the last time I checked the Casa Magna Colorado robutos were going for 130 and change for a box of 27. Enjoying one now as I type in the cold of my garage :cbig:

In a perfect world we get everything we want...in an imperfect world we have to shop around for what we want to get the best deal...sometimes it's in a B&M and sometimes its online.
