Try the real handmade cigars, but DO NOT go overboard buying boxes of them. At most, get a 5'er or so. Your tastes will change and you'll be wondering what to do with these boxes of cigars, trust me on that one.

And those who haven't smoked in their boxers just aren't real men
I live on a real busy street, so if you smoke in your undies on my deck, you will be showing the entire neighborhood your goodies. I like my neighbors, but not that much.

Buddy congrats on getting your humi, have fun filling it.

There is PD Cigars out of Stockbridge, Georgia and they do make "house blends" for alot of different shops througout the South, and they do routinely sell for around $4.00 a stick, so that may have been what he was referring to.

Storage will become a problem. You start out with one humi, then add another and another, until you decide that a cooler is what you need. Once you get that you say ok I am good now. Until you realize that you are looking at wine coolers or the famous avallo and pricing them out.
Dang it aleam,

I was just starting on my coolerdor and you made me go and look up the Avallo.

Now I have a reed and barton "The Wellington", A small 50 cnt reed and barton, the Arturo Fuente Cigar Family Charitable Foundation Humidor (250ct), and working on a coolerdor.

I do not need the, yes I do, no I do not, yes I do....Aghhhhhhh.

As for the OP, welcom to BOTL. Take the warnings seriously...
