Very amazing,,,love the ingenuity behind this. After having been a Safety Supervisor for quite a few years this could potentially save quite a few people their fingers and such. The problem is that the safety feature while a truly great thing will also cost a company quite a bit because once the machine shuts down it basically self destructs ( which is fine because it saves fingers and such ) which employers do not like to deal with because they have to replace parts. For woodworkers who purchase this on their own it should be a must for safety purposes. Employers will usually get their bean counters to see if this is an item that will either save or cost them money in the final analysis,,,as always, it's all about money.

all it needs is a new cartridge and a new blade, so roughly $200 per incident.

Actually I believe the replacment cost is around $60. Which even if the big company didn't have one and someone lost a finger, you have to add in ins costs, law suits, down time, loss of employee, training a new employee. I think the cost of the saw is well justified.
