The denial was brief and, I think, carefully worded. He said he doesn't "appreciate this guy spreading lies." When I first read it, I assumed "this guy" referred to whoever leaked the info to CigarNut. It's very possible that the leak contained incorrect information, maybe even deliberately incorrect information, in which case, the characterization of it as "lies" would be correct.

Touche. I hadn't thought of it that way.

IMO it just would have been better to avoid the boards while this was all going down. Nothing should have been said particularly that closely to the official announcement. But oh well, what's done is done. My guess is that there will be a gradual decline in the quality of the product. I really hope not. I REALLY hope not. But we'll see.
