it really varies. and, i find my methodology to be quite inconsistent. nonalcoholic: coffee or water. just getting into the scotch and bourbon. and, of course, beer!
depends on if ive had the cigar before. if its my first dance with a stick, or an exceptionaly good one, ill go with water. other than that it depends. a good Lager is always a good choice. as is a smooth whiskey.
1) Grand Marnier
2) Cognac - Hennessy or Courvoisier
3) Scotch - Lagavulin or Balvenie or Johnnie Walker BLACK
4) New castle - the best beer with a cigar, enough flavor to enjoy with a strong stick...
5) water
Morning commute = coffee
Evening commute = Diet Coke
Night Smoke = Appleton Estates X/V Rum, JW Black, Maker's Mark, Tres Generacions Tequila and/or Kettle One. Any one on the rocks except the vodka (shaken with a splash of olive juice + 2-6 olives)
Beer, Wine, and as Smokey the Bear noted, Root Beer. To me a good Root Beer goes great with alot of med to full bodied cigars. I buy Abita Root Beer made from pure Louisiana Sugar Cane. Sometimes hard to find, but it is damn good!
