You're welcome to come down and enjoy our snow, brother. I would trade in a second.
I live in the woods, surrounded by oak trees and the winds are supposed to be around 30mph with gusts to 50. I'm a little concerned because we've been lucky with big wind storms......luck's gotta run out sometime.
this storm makes me VERY glad i had 11 or so tree knocked down from my back yard this past spring.

supposed to get anywhere from 12 to 20 inches in my back fricken yard! Not looking forward to it at all!
30 mph winds with gusts to 50! we have an overly stocked pantry and freezer so food is no problem and if power does go out we have a gas fire place and full propane tanks for the grill...Oh, and lots of vodka!
Good luck brothers and sisters! 20 plus inches and NOBODY is on the roads.......
Living in Minnesota I've been through this more than once. It sounds like you're well prepped and ready to hunker down for the long haul.

I certainly understand your concern regarding the trees. I had quite a few branches come down during a heavy snow a couple of years ago and it was a mess. Luckily my next door neighbor used to work for a tree service and he came over afterwards and helped me clean up. The upside was that I still have a pretty good supply of fuel for my fire pit 3 years later.

Yeah, Ron. We've taken several trees down over the years and had a couple fall in a couple different storms but they only took out sections of our fence. And, like Rupe have had many limbs fall down. Fingers are crossed......

Living in MN you guys are probably conditioned to this kind of stuff. We had a little dusting of snow on Wednesday evening and you would have thought the world was ending. Cars stranded all over the place.......
