I've got one that was due yesterday...today it still shows expected delivery ...yesterday. Now that's a trick. It also skipped a whole city/checkpoint update making me think it went MIA all day. Oh well.

Before you get your panties in a twist, I challenge you to deliver a package across the fkn country on a $6 budget.... better yet try doing millions of deliveries everyday without a single hiccup. Patience is a virtue.
I challenge you to dispute this! But seriously, you are right. It's no easy task, so my postman tells me.

I have the same issue. My stuff circulates all over NYC before my local PO gets it for delivery. Sometimes it is a day delay, others it is a few days of delay.

I understand the point but I very rarely hear of packages being lost or delayed by UPS, FedEx, etc. Only the USPS. And it seems to be getting worse each month. I was trading some cigars with a friend on another forum. USPS shows the package dropped off to them by the tracking number, then nothing for a week. My friend called and spoke to someone who admitted they had no idea where it was. So he filed a claim with USPS which they denied.

Don't offer 3 day priority mail if you aren't going to deliver in 3 days. Easy as that. Or give a refund of shipping if it's late.

USPS is also substantially cheaper than UPS, FEDEX, DHL Etc... Like most things in life, you get what you pay for.

(I cant believe I am actually defending USPS)

So back in the day I actually studied logistics. There is certainly nothing "intuitive" about it. And I mean nothing. How it gets to you is a complex and shouldn't be considered - I mean I ordered two things this weekend. One from Italy, and one from the States. I'll be getting my Package from Italy on Wednesday if tracking is to be believed, and the package from the states Friday. Not intuitive.

That said, how long it takes to get to you should be considered. If they say two days and you Pay on Monday - it should be at your place Wednesday.

When you pay for two day - it should be two day. It's a freaking contract for Pete's sake.

LOL, hope you got it on time. I had a bomb go out that was 2 day priority supposed to be delivered last Friday....finally showed up yesterday and the guy is gone on vacation now for a week. They claimed it was "on time" on the tracking all the way until Tuesday morning when it changed to delayed.
Another one supposed to be delivered in Texas today...2 day priority mail.....nothing's been updated since it left here Monday morning.
Sure doesn't make much sense. They say 2 days, here to Texas and 3 days here to Nevada?? Strange routes these USPS folks take.
Gonna be bummed if the Texas one doesn't show up today.

The two I sent on Monday haven't moved since 1:34am on Tuesday. They made it about forty miles up the road and got hung up.

Indeed, this is what I'm dealing with.

I live in Texas....package is shipping from Kansas. Somehow it has gone to San Diego and was there for at least 2 days, with no updates since Monday.
