You packaging is outstanding and I have never have had an issue with quality etc. My only complaint is timing on shipments. Have had a few times in which shipments didn't ship for several days when ordering. Seems like a crap shoot on either next day or several days. I don't hoard a ton of smoke so I like my orders to ship quickly. Unfortunately expidited shipping starts knocking on the door of the cost at my b and m and at that point I would rather just get in my hands at the shop. Don't get me wrong I love you guys and actually order more from you than anyone hands down...just a suggestion to help with the process. thanks again! Nick

I haven't purchased from you guys just yet, but when I do, as long as their packed nicely and aren't rolling around it works for me!

I do like the suggestion of the boveda packs just as a piece of mind. Especially if someone purchasing some high end special sticks for a special occasion.

Bovedas could be an option on shipping to customize for people who want em and to save on cost and keep people happy for ones that dont. My order from you guys shipped great they were packed nicely and every thing was perfect! Keep up the good work!

I too have never had an issue with the packing of any shipment from Famous. I find it on par with Small Batch. The only difference had been the inclusion of a boveda. I too don't know how much of a difference it makes, but when I get a package with a boveda in it, it tells me you care that the cigars are taken care of. I then charge it up and include it in anything I send to someone else so they know that I care too.
I do love to reuse those mini Bovedas. And the baggies that singles and 5ers come in!

I appreciate the feedback! Sounds like the bovedas aren't a particularly high priority, but maybe an option that customers can choose for shipments that are in transit for longer/personal preference.

Packing certain shipments a little tighter is certainly do-able, and these methods will definitely be looked into. And it seems like the 5er finger bags are the real winner, especially because they come in handy when sending out bombs. :blackeye:

Thank you for all of the comments and suggestions!

Adding a boveda whether necessary or not is perceived by the recipient as care by the sender. It's also indicative of the sender's care for the cigars prior to shipment.

As sofc suggested, the possibility to add a boveda at cost or a little above could boost sales and provide an additional service to those that prefer them. Possibly the option of humidity level as well. Like most, I rest my cigars a few weeks to regulate humidity. I would pay a few cents for a mini 65 to start the process in transit.
The 5 finger bags would be great as I reuse them for sending out sticks. I don't mind the bubble wrap envelopes and have never had a damaged stick from you. Just prefer the finger bags.

I haven't had any issues with packaging and I order frequently.(damn Cigar Monster!!) If I put an order in on Monday before 2:00pm it will be on my door step by Wednesday afternoon if UPS is delivering so I really don't need a boveda pack. I can understand maybe putting those packs in with a cross country delivery, however.
Now, if USPS/ UPS Surepost is used It might take a week to get my delivery. Just an observation.....

I think a lot of you guys would be surprised by the amount of time some of these over seas shipments from the factory goes without ANY humidification what so ever.......

Shipping aside, and ignoring any changes Famous might or might not make, I love this thread. It's so great to see a vendor, especially one the size of Famous, reach out to their customers for feedback. Part of what makes this industry so cool (I mean seriously, could anyone imagine Comcast doing the same thing???).

I've ordered from you guys 20+ times and have never had a problem. I think the packaging is perfectly fine (I mostly order 5 packs). The only thing I would complain about lately is (even though I'm not sure if it's famous' fault) the packages first ship from New Jersey, then ships down to PA for a day or 2 and then comes ships up north to me in NY. It never used to ship like that but for some reason my last 3-4 orders have been shipped like that and takes an extra couple days to get to me.

I've had good luck with FSS over the years, I'd hazard to say that they've consistently shown great care compare to their large, swedish-owned competitor. My only complaint is that it often seems that they ship very wet compared to some places, so I always seem to need more time for the sticks to acclimate. Don't see a need for a Boveda due to that.

Due to your blasted auction site, and the occasional private e-mail sales, I get at least one shipment a week from you folks. Never, ever had a problem. Lots of problems when I used to buy from a couple of your on-line competitors, but you folks are stellar. A few moments ago, I opened a box of 2 My Father samplers (the one in the wood boxes). Bubble wrap between the boxes and enough air pillows to make the shipping box bulge. I can't see how that could be improved on.
