Okaaay had a little accident in one of my humis recently. The humidifier came off and dropped down on the cigars some how or the other the stuck itself to a cigar when pulling it off I tore part of the wrapper.. any thoughts on how to fix it or if I can just go ahead and light it up without any worries.

Thanks in advance.

Depends on the tear. Where is it, how big is it, etc. If you just tore off a small piece of the wrapper you really should be fine. The only issue you may have are some burn issues when you hit the tear and until you have smoked past it. The only time I've really had issues with wrapper tears are when they are near the head of the cigar and start to unravel the wrapper.

I also know that some people keep something on hand to help with these issues, but I'm not sure what...someone else may chime in with that info.

The stuff you would use to repair it is pectin, sold at the grocery store. You can also google cigar repair glue and it'll pull up a few different products, I've found the one with the brush is easier to use, but it's essentially the same thing.

You could always just smoke and hope it doesn't unravel.

I use the cigar glue. I picked up a little bottle from the B&M. It works ok.

I have the best results when sealing a crack as opposed to trying to glue down a piece of torn wrapper.

If you are trying to glue wrapper down, you almost need to hold it in place until it sets. However, you run the risk of the glue sticking to your finger and pulling the wrapper back up when you remove it.

Torcedor's glue (cigar glue) is vegie gum, usually comes in a nail polish sized bottle with a similar brush. Try keeping a couple of sections of wrapper (I use dog-rockets I won't smoke) for use in mending the tears and feet of your sticks. Brush some glue on the tear/split/hole and drop a piece of DR Wrapper onto the glue, a little pat, nip and tuck and it is good to go in a couple of minutes. I've repaired hundreds of sticks this way...........of course I'm an old f**k.

Put a small piece of wax paper over the repair while you hold it in place until it sets. It will not stick to the wrapper. Sticky fingers solved!

All been said. My B&M has the cigar glue. Cheap and good to keep around.

That's a great idea I was thinking of using the wrapper from the cap after I cut it..

Thanks for the tip!
