Any way to get underneath the edge of the door, so you were on top of the foam but under the door? If so you could try and get a good fit with some thin plastic sheet or maybe stainless and not have to paint the foam.

I think ive got an idea, we'll see how it goes, like most things the work is gonna be in the prep for it. Thanks!
