Fresh they just taste like an extremely over-priced maddie.....
Wow, I've neve had a super spicy maddie that tastes like an opusx! All the opusx have been aged for at least 4-6 months before shipping. The problem is that they keep them in a slightly higher humidity for shipping. Give any of those new smokes a month period of rest and the burn problems are gone! Now, if ya age them for a year or more, then the flavors are not so spicy and more married instead of very individual and pronounced flavors! Just smoke the damn things a be happy!
