Hi there,
For many years, I've been eyeing one of the display towers in our drawing room for storage / display of cigars. It's currently purely a piece of furniture, and a damn beautiful one at that. (I'll post photographs later on in the when I get home.)
Just to give you a rough idea, it's about 7.5' tall x 2' w x 2' deep, made of solid rosewood. The bottom third is shelf-less closet, with a wooden panel door. The top two-thirds is arranged in 3-4 glass shelves with a glass paneled door with a wooden frame.
In both sections, the innards are lined with plywood.
This is an old piece, so there is no longer any smell of glue or other unpleasant things like that.
I'm wondering what I would have to do to make the seal good enough to dump an accumonitor system in there and keep my cigars in the top section of the tower.
I wouldn't want to change it too much (i.e. line the insides with cedar etc) cause my wife would have my head!
Anyway, I know it's difficult visualizing the entire unit without a picture, but if anything comes to mind until then, I'm all ears.
Thanks for the help...
