Okay, okay I see plenty about fantasy football, UFC and Golf. There have got to be people out there who enjoy the outdoors. Backpacking? Minimalist? Fishing? Hiking? Hunting? You guys get the point. Personally, I'm afraid of heights so rock climbing is out for me. I love to hike but haven't been backpacking for 12 years. Who shares the love for outdoors with me?

Turkey hunting. Hunt 6-7 States in the Spring season and about 4-5 in the fall season chasing the royal bird.

In between camping with the kids and grandkids.

I thought by your avator you were a tree hugger. LOL

I enjoy rock climbing. I absolutely hate heights too. I just really trust the person belaying me. I still get freaked out when I'm stuck at a point and am having a hard time reaching a hand hold or something and getting myself to the top, but I can push it to the back of my mind. Still haven't met a wall in my skill range that I haven't forced myself to conquer.

Never been a big backpacker. I do enjoy camping, but it's also hot as hell right now here in Austin. I'd rather camp in November - early February when the temps are mild.

Oh, and I've never been fishing or hunting. Ya, I'm weird.

I rock climb foremost with a bit of caving mixed in, I also hunt turkey in the spring with moose, deer, coyote, and turkey again following again in the fall.

If it's spring or summer I'm on the river or out in the gulf fishing. If it's fall or winter I'm in a rice field or on the bay hunting.

I'm outside A LOT. I fish (fresh and saltwater), duck hunt, turkey hunt, deer hunt, elk hunt, dove hunt, coyote hunt, rabbit hunt, squirrel hunt and take a ton of wildlife photos. On average I'm on the water or in the field about 150 - 175 (200+ if you include photo outings) days a year. Some years more. My big passion is duck hunting and of a 60 day regular season I hunt around 45 - 50 days. I'm very close to killing all 32 huntable species of ducks in North America. This January I will be back in Alaska chasing what is by far the most difficult of the 32 to kill and if I'm successful I'll be down to only 2 birds. Most every year I take a trip somewhere somewhat exotic duck hunting and in most average years will hunt at least 4 states. This year I will also be deer hunting in the infamous Pike County, IL on private property, 24,500 acres, that has never been deer hunted. The great quest, as a friend puts it, fires back up officially this Wednesday as our dove season opens up. It is traditionally the first thing to really get me fired up for the marathon of seasons that will have me very occupied until February when everything is closed and I try to catch up on sleep.

Ha ha, I thought that would come up at some point.

I've always wanted to learn how to bow hunt. I live right next to what I hear is one of the best mule deer hunting regions in California. A buddy of mine gave me some backstraps that he took from that zone and it had an excellent sage flavor. I would enjoy having those skills.

Also never been deep sea fishing (Love fishing but hate the taste of fish) I had a trip planned this summer, but rough seas screwed that up.

I'm glad to see that there are a some adventurous people in here. It would be fun to trade tales... like the time I was chased by a herd of bloodthirsty cattle while I was trying to urinate.
