I should clarify, something to try even if unreasonable. It isn't as high up as a Behike or Something as unobtainable as a Gran Reserva (I'm poor and will likely never see these beyond pix) but a guy can dream.
Had a toro tonight. Really enjoyed it, but it was a little wet. Burn line was off, and kept needing touch up. But the flavor was great. Cocoa, pepper, slight cedar...was stronger that I thought it would be.
First sample of robusto gordo 54 was decent but second sample was a lot better - flavors were good; ash and draw were excellent - like all other GOFs I have smoked; there is more kick to it then for example GOF by Carlito'07. If folks are interested in robusto gordo 54 giveway, stop by tomorrow at cigarphoto.net. Review is going up PLUS I'm giving some away.
I was lucky enough to get my hands on a maduro when I was visiting a different B&M today. At first they said they had none but then a rep checked in back and found the new box. My buddy actually bought it for me as a birthday gift. I will be smoking this very soon.
