I need you more than you can know
And if I hurt myself it's just for show
I found a better way to curb the pain
You put a trigger here inside my brain

I know it's porcupine tree, but not sure of the song. Lithium plays them about once a month.
So, I'm not much help here. Lol

With no answer in sight, googled that this morning and tracked it down.
I like Filter, so as you can imagine, enjoyed "Slave Called Silver"

Back in the day when I lived in DFW, a classic rock station,KZPS, and more specifically, DJ John Dillon had a spot called great opening lines. He would have a contest in which he would say the first opening lines of a song and have people guess the song. I loved that deal. I consider myself a lyricist, in that, I'm anal about knowing the words to any song I like. So, songs like Red Barchetta from Rush, and tons from Pink Floyd fascinate me. I love lyrics. With that in mind I propose the same deal here. I'll start by posting an opening line, and someone else guesses it. If they guess correctly, they post an opening line. …
This got kinda messed up?

Never heard of Filter, will have to check it out

Filter is pretty good. Take a Picture and Hey Man,Nice Shot are probably their two most popular songs.
Anyways, post up another opening line since you stumped us with the last one.

Hey Man, Nice shot is an interesting song. Lyrics talk about " I wish I would've met you, now it's a little late" and then later says "hey man, nice shot"
He is referring to Bud Dwyer, Pennsylvania Secretary of Transportation I believe, who was about to be indicted for imbezzelment of roadway funds in the 70's. He calls a press conference, and pulls out a .357, and blows his own head off on live tv.

There is also video on YouTube if you're interested.
