To each their own. Perfect example, a friend of mine loves Gurkha's. I enjoyed them at one time and upon joining here expanded my profile and have moved away from them. From time to time, yes I'll smoke one or give them to a friend who isn't an avid cigar smoker. It all comes down to your budget and what YOU enjoy. We just don't want to see anyone get burned if you commit to a box and then hate them. If you want to try them, get yourself a 5-er.

I bought a 5'er of the G2 Pirate maduro for $11 before I saw this thread. But hell, since I have never tried one I would probably have bought it anyway.

I've never been all that impressed with Graycliff. I did enjoy both the espresso and the double espresso, but found that for the money there is much better out there. This is especially true these days with there being so many top notch boutique brands. Back in the day they were one of the very few boutique brands out there. I always enjoy trying new stuff, but I think it's important to note that if you do try the G2, keep in mind you are not smoking a Graycliff, but an AJ Fernandez.

I grabbed some G2s and 30 year for cheap when I started ordering and trying new stuff.

The 30 year is crap, but the G2s that I got were pretty good for the price. Way better then some sticks I've had at 2-3x the price.

I haven't smoked a Graycliff. However, what I have heard from an acquaintance that likes them is, give it at least three months to rest. He smokes the Casillera Privada and Espresso.

I split a box of red band coronas w/ someone 10 yrs ago. Found them a bit costly but a pleasant stick.

To put it differently, have paid al lot more for a lot less.

I just picked up some greycliff's from their place in the Bahamas. Really nice folks and while a little pricey because of the ridiculously high tobacco tax there, they seem to be constructed well. Very small shop, only about 5-6 people rolling them on a good day. They only had 2 there on the day we went.

I tried one of the G2's that I bought from a 5'er for less than $2. When I first started smoking it I thought it was really good, then it became soooo boring. But like I heard someone say before, better than a kick in the nuts.
